GTA 6 Characters: Jason, Lucia and Every Confirmed Character

Rockstar has officially named eleven GTA 6 characters, and only eleven. Eight of them have their own profile on Rockstar’s GTA VI site, published on May 6, 2025 alongside Trailer 2: the two playable leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, plus Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, the duo Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Two more people, Lori and the rapper DWNPLY, are named inside those profiles without getting one of their own. Everything else circulating as a “confirmed GTA 6 character” comes from leaks, fan wikis or guesswork. This list sticks to what Rockstar itself has published, character by character, including who is connected to whom and what the profiles actually say. For the footage these profiles arrived with, see our GTA 6 trailer breakdown.

Every Confirmed GTA 6 Character at a Glance

The roster is built around two separate circles that overlap at Brian Heder. Jason’s circle is Brian and Cal in the Leonida Keys. The music circle is Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest and Real Dimez in Vice City. Lucia stands at the centre of the story, and Raul Bautista is the one profile nobody else’s bio mentions.

Character	Role	Connected to
Lucia Caminos	Playable protagonist	Jason
Jason Duval	Playable protagonist	Lucia, Brian, Cal
Cal Hampton	Jason’s friend	Jason, Brian
Boobie Ike	Business owner, Vice City legend	Dre’Quan, Only Raw Records
Dre’Quan Priest	Label boss and hustler	Boobie, Real Dimez
Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy)	Rap duo	Dre’Quan, DWNPLY
Raul Bautista	Bank robber	No named connections yet
Brian Heder	Drug runner, boatyard owner	Jason, Cal, Lori

Lucia Caminos: Fresh Out of Leonida Penitentiary

Lucia is one of the two characters you play, and the first GTA protagonist shown in prison. Rockstar’s profile opens by saying her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and that fighting for her family is what landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. She comes out of prison at the start of the story she shares with Jason, determined that this time the plan is smarter: her family once lived in Liberty City, and her profile frames her goal as the good life her mother dreamed of back then. Her full name, Lucia Caminos, was only confirmed with the May 2025 profiles; Trailer 1 back in December 2023 had shown her and used her first name in the prison scene, but Rockstar published nothing official about her beyond the footage for almost a year and a half.

Jason Duval: The Protagonist Who Wants an Easy Life

Jason is the second playable lead. His profile says he wants an easy life but things keep getting harder. He grew up around grifters and crooks, did a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teenage years, and ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners instead. When the story opens he is living rent-free in one of Brian Heder’s properties and running errands and shakedowns for Brian in exchange. His profile ends on the line that meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing that ever happens to him, which is Rockstar’s own summary of the whole plot. Jason’s light-blue coupe utility, the Vapid Creado, is the car he collects Lucia in, and it leads our list of confirmed GTA 6 cars and vehicles.

Cal Hampton: Jason’s Friend Who Monitors the Coast Guard

Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend and, separately, another of Brian Heder’s associates, which makes him the link between Jason’s two worlds. His profile is the only one that opens on a question, asking what if everything on the internet was true. Cal barely leaves home: he spends his time monitoring Coast Guard radio traffic, and his profile paints a man who feels safest on his couch with a beer and a feed of other people’s conversations. In a cast full of people chasing money, Cal is the one who would rather watch, which is usually exactly the kind of character who sees trouble coming first.

Boobie Ike: The Vice City Legend With a Legitimate Empire

Rockstar calls Boobie Ike a local Vice City legend who acts like it. He is one of the few who turned his time on the streets into a legitimate business empire: real estate, the Jack of Hearts strip club and a recording studio. But his profile makes clear the businesses are not the point. The thing Boobie cares about most is Only Raw Records, the label he is building with Dre’Quan Priest. That single detail ties the Vice City half of the cast together: the label is why a street legend, a hustler and a rap duo all appear in each other’s profiles.

Dre’Quan Priest and Real Dimez: The Only Raw Records Story

Dre’Quan Priest is described by Rockstar as more hustler than gangster. He dealt on the street to get by, but music was always the real plan, and booking acts at Boobie’s strip club was once his ceiling. Now he runs Only Raw Records with Boobie and has signed Real Dimez, and his profile says he is looking for the one hit that sets him up for life. Real Dimez, the duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, have been friends since high school. Their first hit came with local rapper DWNPLY, they followed it with viral songs, and their profile says they spend their time shaking down local celebrities in exchange for cash. They are the only profiled characters with no direct link to Jason or Lucia so far, which makes the label storyline the strongest candidate for the game’s second plot thread.

Raul Bautista: The Bank Robber Recruiting for His Next Score

Raul Bautista is the cast’s professional criminal: a seasoned, disciplined bank robber whose profile leans on his confidence and charm. Where the other bios describe businesses, routines and relationships, Raul’s describes a job and an appetite. He is always looking for fresh talent willing to take the risks that pay, which reads like a recruitment pitch aimed at exactly two people: a broke ex-soldier and a woman fresh out of prison with something to prove. Notably, no other profile names Raul and Raul’s names nobody, so his role is the least mapped of the eight. He is also the only profiled character whose work, robbing banks, matches the heist footage Rockstar showed in Trailer 1.

Brian Heder: The Drug Runner Who Houses Jason

Brian Heder is a drug runner from what his profile calls the glory days of smuggling in the Keys, still moving product through Brian’s Boat Works and Marina, the boatyard business that fronts his operation in the southern islands of the GTA 6 map. Brian is the hinge of the whole cast: Jason lives in his property and works for him, Cal is his associate, and his wife Lori is named in his profile. His deal with Jason is simple and dangerous in equal measure. Jason pays no rent; in return he helps with local shakedowns and keeps Brian’s business running. Every confirmed thread of the story, Lucia’s release, Jason’s work, Cal’s watching, starts within one phone call of Brian Heder.

GTA 6 Characters Named but Not Profiled

Two more names appear inside Rockstar’s profiles without getting profiles of their own. Lori is Brian Heder’s wife, mentioned in his bio and nowhere else so far. DWNPLY is the local rapper whose early record with Real Dimez was the duo’s first hit, and who is named in their profile as part of their backstory. Either could turn out to be a major character or a single scene, and Rockstar has given no hint either way. Any list that gives Lori or DWNPLY a full biography, a role in the plot or an actor is inventing it.

GTA 6 Voice Actors: What Is Actually Confirmed

Rockstar has not officially credited a single voice actor for GTA 6. Not Jason, not Lucia, not anyone in the eight profiles. The only cast member confirmed by the actor himself is Stephen Root, who told the Associated Press in September 2026 that he appears in the game. Root did not name his character. Fans widely match his voice to Brian Heder in the trailer footage, and the match is plausible, but it remains a fan match: Rockstar has not confirmed Root plays Heder or anyone else. Every other name attached to Jason or Lucia online comes from social media guesses and database edits that trace back to nothing Rockstar or any actor has said. Until the credits roll on November 19, the honest cast list for voices is one self-confirmed actor and eight uncredited characters.

Who Can You Play As in GTA 6, and Is Anyone Returning?

Two characters are playable: Jason and Lucia, with the game switching between them as the story moves, including sections where the two are together. Rockstar has not described any other profiled character as playable, and profiles like Brian’s and Boobie’s are written as people Jason and Lucia deal with, not people you control. On returning characters, the answer so far is none: Rockstar has not named a single character from GTA 5, GTA 4 or the original Vice City in any profile, trailer or Newswire post. Rob Nelson of Rockstar told IGN the studio explored other playable leads before settling on Jason and Lucia, so the pair you have is the pair the game was built around. The full timeline of the launch is on our GTA 6 release countdown.

How many characters has Rockstar confirmed for GTA 6?

Rockstar has published official profiles for eight character entries covering nine people: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Bae-Luxe, Roxy, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Two more names, Lori and DWNPLY, appear inside those profiles, making eleven officially named characters in total.

Who is Brian Heder in GTA 6?

Who voices Jason and Lucia in GTA 6?

Rockstar has not announced voice actors for Jason, Lucia or any other GTA 6 character. Fans match his voice to Brian Heder, but Rockstar has not confirmed that.

Are any GTA 5 characters returning in GTA 6?

None have been announced. Every character Rockstar has profiled or named for GTA 6 is new, and no character from GTA 5, GTA 4 or the original Vice City has appeared in any official profile, trailer or Newswire post. Names from older games that circulate in cast lists come from leaks and fan wikis, not Rockstar.

Who are Real Dimez in GTA 6?

Real Dimez are a rap duo, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who have been friends since high school. Their first hit was with local rapper DWNPLY, and they have signed to Only Raw Records, the label run by Boobie Ike and Dre’Quan Priest.
