GTA 6 Map: All Confirmed Locations in Vice City and Leonida

The GTA 6 map covers the whole fictional state of Leonida, not just Vice City, and Rockstar Games has officially named six major regions inside it. This guide lists every GTA 6 map location confirmed so far, separates what Rockstar itself announced from what only appears in trailers or fan reconstructions, and answers the question every player asks first: how big is the GTA 6 map, and what is actually in it. If you only need the launch date, our GTA 6 release countdown tracks the days left until November 19, 2026.

GTA 6 map: the six official regions

Rockstar Games names six major destinations on its official GTA VI “Only in Leonida” page, and every reliable guide agrees on the same six: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. These six are the only regions with official Rockstar descriptions and artwork. Everything else on this page is either a district inside one of these regions, seen in official trailers and screenshots, or a name from official game materials such as character bios and edition copy. Rockstar has not published a complete official map, so treat any “full GTA 6 map” image online as a fan reconstruction, not a Rockstar document.

GTA 6 map Vice City locations

Vice City is the urban core of the GTA 6 map and Rockstar’s modern take on Miami, described by the studio as “the sun and fun capital of America” and “the glamour, hustle, and greed of America captured in a single city.” It is a long way from the compact 2002 version: the new city has bright beaches, towering buildings, nightlife, busy roads, waterfront areas, and residential neighbourhoods, and it is central to the story of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar’s official Vice City description names four districts and places inside the city.

Ocean Beach

Ocean Beach is Vice City’s beachfront strip, with pastel art deco hotels and bright white sands. It is the postcard side of the city and the closest the GTA 6 map comes to the South Beach inspiration behind it.

Little Cuba

Little Cuba is the city’s bustling Cuban neighbourhood, known for its panaderias. It shows the everyday, lived-in side of Vice City that sits next to the neon and the wealth.

Tisha-Wocka flea market

The Tisha-Wocka flea market is Vice City’s bootleg-brand bazaar. It is a small detail in Rockstar’s official description, but it tells you how the city works at street level: knockoffs, haggling, and crowds.

VC Port

VC Port is what Rockstar calls “the cruise ship capital of the world.” It anchors the city’s waterfront economy and explains why so much of Vice City’s action happens near the water, from the docks to the cruise terminals.

GTA 6 map Leonida Keys locations

The Leonida Keys are a tropical archipelago south of Vice City, which Rockstar calls the “Gateway to paradise,” sitting “right on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in all of America.” This is where Jason’s story starts: after leaving the Army, he found himself in the Keys working for local drug runners. The Keys are built for bridges, boating, and island hopping, and they are the quietest corner of the map before the story pulls Jason back toward Vice City.

Brian’s Marina

Brian’s Marina is the specific Keys location the launch trailer opens on. Jason lives on the property of Brian Heder, an old Keys smuggler, and works there polishing boats. If you remember one Keys location, remember this one, because it is Jason’s home base at the start of the game.

GTA 6 map Grassrivers location

Grassrivers is the GTA 6 map’s wetland region, which Rockstar calls “the untamable jewel of Leonida’s crown” and greets with “Welcome to the wetlands.” The gators may be famous, but Rockstar warns there are “far deadlier predators and weirder discoveries among the mangroves.” Grassrivers is the Everglades-inspired region of Leonida, and that distinction matters: Grassrivers is the official region name, while “Everglades” is only the real-world inspiration. They are not two separate places. Expect swamps, airboats, mangrove cover, and wildlife encounters here.

GTA 6 map Port Gellhorn location

Port Gellhorn is what Rockstar calls “Leonida’s forgotten coast,” a faded vacation town on the west coast with the tagline “Live hard.” Its new economy, in Rockstar’s words, is “fueled by malt liquor, painkillers, and truck stop energy drinks.” Trailer footage shows the town’s dusty streets, rundown motels, empty attractions, and a Pawn and Gun shop in the background. Port Gellhorn is the map’s working-class, run-down counterweight to Vice City’s gloss.

GTA 6 map Ambrosia location

Ambrosia is the inland farming and sugar-refinery country in the heart of Leonida, tagged “Keeping Leonida sweet.” Rockstar’s line for it is blunt: “The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else.” Ambrosia sits beside Lake Leonida in the center of the state, and it brings dirt roads, farmland, and industrial silhouettes to a map otherwise dominated by coast and city.

GTA 6 map Mount Kalaga location

Mount Kalaga National Park is the northern wilderness region of the GTA 6 map, a national landmark on the state’s northern border with the tagline “Wild, wild country.” Rockstar places “hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals” in its backwoods. It is the map’s elevation, forest, and hunting country, and even the Ultimate Edition copy points players there, placing a vehicle in “the backwoods of Mount Kalaga and beyond.” If Vice City is the map’s excess, Mount Kalaga is its isolation.

More GTA 6 map names seen in official materials

Beyond the six regions, a few more names appear in Rockstar’s own materials, and they are worth knowing because other guides often promote them to full regions. Lake Leonida is named in official edition copy as the home of “Lake Leonida’s storied mod shop.” Leonida Penitentiary appears in Lucia’s official character bio and fits her prison backstory. Neither is a seventh region: they are a named lake and a named prison inside the state. Treat them as confirmed names, not as regions on the same level as the six above.

How big is the GTA 6 map

Rockstar says the GTA 6 map is roughly twice the size of the GTA V map, and describes Leonida as the largest world it has built for a game. There is no official square-kilometre figure, so ignore any exact number you see online. Community mapping projects estimate roughly 1.4 to 1.6 times GTA V’s playable land area, but that is a community estimate, not a Rockstar figure. What Rockstar has confirmed about the world itself is density as much as size: more than 170 animal species, including around 60 kinds of birds and 30 land mammals, plus sharks, whales, and jellyfish, and reported tropical storms and seasonal hurricanes. The map is a whole state, and Rockstar built it to be crossed, from city to swamp to mountain, without a loading screen breaking the drive.

What the GTA 6 map does not confirm yet

Three things are not confirmed, and any guide that states them as fact is guessing. First, Rockstar has not released a complete official map, so exact region boundaries, the full road network, and the coastline are unknown. Second, there is no official map size in square kilometres or miles, only the “roughly twice GTA V” comparison. Third, fan-made maps are reconstructions: volunteer mapping projects piece Leonida together from trailers, screenshots, and real Florida geography, and at least one viral “complete map” image from August 2026 was debunked by the mapping community itself. Use fan maps as a rough orientation, never as a confirmed document, and check back after launch when the real map can be explored.
