Stellar Blade Switch 2 Release Date and Price
Stellar Blade Complete Edition releases worldwide on November 5, 2026. Because the launch is simultaneous, it unlocks at midnight Korea and Japan time, which is why some stores in Asia and Oceania list November 6 while the Americas and Europe list November 5. Digital pre-orders are live on the Nintendo eShop at $59.99.
Pre-ordering early unlocks three cosmetic items for Eve: the Planet Diving Suit in White Edition, Classic Round Glasses and Ear Armor Earrings. A limited steelbook edition is also available at $69.99 if you want the boxed version. A free demo is already on the eShop, so you can try the game before buying.
What Is Included in Stellar Blade Complete Edition?
The Complete Edition is the full version of the game first released on PS5 in 2024 and PC in 2025, with every piece of post-launch content included. You get the base game, all updates, the Boss Challenge mode, the huge outfit wardrobe, the NieR:Automata collaboration and the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE collaboration content, which on other platforms was sold separately.
On launch day there is also a free Bayonetta collaboration for every platform, Switch 2 included. It adds four Nano Suit outfits for Eve based on Bayonetta, the Nun look and her rival Jeanne. Three have been shown so far and Shift Up is keeping the fourth secret until release.
A Real Cartridge, Not a Game-Key Card
The physical edition is a genuine cartridge release. Shift Up confirmed the complete game and its DLC ship on a 32GB game card, making Stellar Blade one of the first games to use Nintendo’s smaller cartridge size. There is no game-key card and no mandatory download before you can start playing, which is why collectors have been paying attention to this release.
Stellar Blade Switch 2 Performance: Frame Generation Explained
On Switch 2 the game renders natively at 30 frames per second, then uses DLSS upscaling and FSR 3.1 frame generation to output a smoother 60 FPS picture. Some players who tried the demo were worried about input lag from frame generation, so Shift Up added a Frame Generation toggle at launch: if you prefer, you can switch it off and play at the native 30 FPS.
The Switch 2 version also uses the hardware in smaller ways, with HD Rumble, gyro aiming and Joy-Con 2 motion controls for side activities such as fishing.
Stellar Blade Gameplay: What New Players Should Expect
You play Eve, a soldier sent to reclaim an Earth overrun by creatures called Naytiba. Stellar Blade is a fast third-person action game built around sword combos, perfect dodges and parries. Reading enemy attacks and punishing them is the core of the combat, and the boss fights are the highlight, closer to a stylish character action game than a button masher.
Between fights you explore ruined cities and open areas, rest at camps to recover, and unlock new outfits and upgrades. If you have never played it on PS5 or PC, the Complete Edition on Switch 2 is the fullest version of the game at the lowest effort: everything is in the box from day one.
Stellar Blade or Zelda: Which Switch 2 Game on November 5?
November 5 gives Switch 2 owners a real choice. Pick Stellar Blade if you want fast, challenging action and a complete edition packed with extra content. Pick the Zelda remake if you want a story-driven adventure and a piece of gaming history rebuilt for the new console. Our Ocarina of Time remake guide covers its release date, price and new features if you are still deciding.
