Creature Breeder Rules at a Glance
Creature Breeder is a merge and breeding game where two matching creatures breed into the next, stronger creature in the chain. You start with six creatures on the ranch, and the goal is to climb the ten creature chain to the Aurora Dragon before the ranch fills up.
| Start | Six creatures are waiting on the ranch |
| How to breed | Tap a creature, then tap a matching one, or drag one onto its twin |
| Result | The pair breeds into the next creature in the chain |
| After each breed | A fresh egg hatches into a new creature |
| Hatch an egg | A button that adds a creature when no pairs are left |
| Goal | Reach the Aurora Dragon, the tenth and final creature |
| Game over | The ranch is full and no two creatures match |
The Full Breeding Chain
Creatures breed in this order: Sprout, Puff, Hopper, Fluff, Ember, Splash, Volt, Frost, Shade and finally the Aurora Dragon. Two of any creature breed into the next one in the chain. Each new creature you discover is added to the breeding chart beside the ranch.
How Scoring Works in Creature Breeder
Your score grows as you breed pairs up the chain, and the game tracks three numbers: your Score, your Top creature out of the ten in the chain, and your Best score. The Top creature counter shows how far your strongest creature has climbed, from the first creature on the ranch to the Aurora Dragon at the top.
Your Best score is saved in your browser on this device, so it is waiting for you on your next visit, and clearing your browser data resets it. Because a fresh egg hatches after every breed, a high scoring run is a balance: keep breeding up the chain, but leave enough ranch space for the pairs you still need.
What Kind of Game Is Creature Breeder?
Creature Breeder is a merge game built around a breeding chain. In a merge game you combine two matching pieces to make the next one in a set, and here the pieces are creatures on a ranch, so every match is a breeding that moves you one step up the chain.
The chain holds ten creatures, from the tiny Sprout to the Aurora Dragon, and each creature you discover is added to the breeding chart beside the ranch. There are no battles and no timer. A game lasts until the ranch is full and nothing matches, so the whole challenge is planning which pairs to breed now and which to keep for later.
Keeping the Ranch From Filling Up
A new egg hatches after every breed, so the ranch slowly gets crowded. Breed your higher level creatures first when space is tight, because they free up squares without adding many low creatures. Only use Hatch an egg when you have no pairs left, and try to keep pairs of the same creature close together.

How do you get the Aurora Dragon?
